Card lifecycle endpoints return HTTP 200 on success with no response body. Confirm the new state with GET /cards/{cardId}. Cards are active after issuance. There is no activate endpoint. To permanently end a card, call DELETE /cards/{cardId}; the status becomes terminated. To cap spend on a card, see Apply spending limits.

Freeze and unfreeze

Freeze temporarily blocks authorizations. Use for user-initiated lock or fraud holds.
POST /cards/CARD_ID/freeze
Card status becomes frozen. Unfreeze restores spend capability from a frozen state only.
POST /cards/CARD_ID/unfreeze
Card status returns to active.

Delete a card

Delete permanently terminates the card. The API sets status to terminated. This cannot be undone. For a new virtual card, see Replace a card. For physical cards, delete then issue again.
DELETE /cards/CARD_ID
